# IP Check on the both releaseStream/publish

Hi Support Team:

From the [tutorial](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-limit-publishing-of-live-streams-by-ip-list) it processes IP check on releaseStream and publish, if I just do it on releaseStream, record result on specific class variable then apply to publish, would it be any problem?
