Hi,

I re-stream video from an IP camera (RTSP/RTP re-streaming) but some IP cameras need Authentication.

In many models i can disable Authentication for RTSP. **But for security reason this may not be the right solution.**

Does WOWZA server support this kind of authentication?

If so while I re-stream RTSP/RTP source according to to the tutorial [How to re-stream video from an IP camera](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-re-stream-video-from-an-ip-camera-rtsp-rtp-re-streaming)where should I put IP cameras username-password pairs?

Best Wishes

Mahmut

It simply works

```auto
rtsp://username:password@192.168.X.XXX/stream1
```

without any other setting.

Thanks…

Please see this doc on how to accomplish this:

you usually have to enter the complete address when creating the stream files, the address syntax depends on the cam manufacturer or model, but it´s usually this way:

rtsp://USER:PASS@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:port/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
