How to Solve “Wowza Streaming Engine Manager could not connect to the Wowza Streaming Engine service([http://localhost:8087](http://localhost:8087)).”

i installed Wowza Streaming Engine 4.7.1 but i try to login show error

Wowza Streaming Engine Manager could not connect to the Wowza Streaming Engine service([http://localhost:8087](http://localhost:8087)). Verify that the Wowza Streaming Engine service has started and is running.

it can be as simple as adding an ipaddress to the whitelist. or restarting the engine and manager

what happens if you point your browser to [http://localhost:8087](http://localhost:8087)

can i assume you are running Wowza on a windows environment?
