# How to re-stream video from VLC(RTP)?

mpeg4 part 10 is h.264. So, are you sure the camera does not already have native h.264 support? If it does you can use this guide to re-restream directly from the camera:

You can adapt one of the VLC examples, and/or there are others you can find by searching this forum that would be better suited to your case.
