# How to know what bandwidth to set in the smil file for live HLS streaming?

Hello,

I need to fix this error, I got it using Apple mediastream validater:

#### You MUST include the AVERAGE-BANDWIDTH attribute- Master Playlist Stream Definition for All Variants

I have bitrate set in the transcoder, and videobitratein smil. Is the bandwidth audio plus video bitrate or what to put?
