# How to get more detailed stream info then just name and protocol

But how to get more detailed stream info then just name and protocol?

And where i can find complete class/function reference like [https://docs.python.org/2/reference/](https://docs.python.org/2/reference/)

Sorry, can’t find, only separate pages with code examples.

Hi,

You can do this using the [IMediaStreamActionNotify3](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-use-imediastreamactionnotify3-interface-to-listen-for-rtmp-stream-events-includes-codec-info%28includes-codec-info%29)example.

There is the [Server Side API guide](https://www.wowza.com/resources/WowzaStreamingEngine_ServerSideAPI.pdf), which is really just the complete Java doc in a PDF.
