# How to create an thumbnail image from video file (mp4)

For Livestreaming there is the HTTPProviderGenerateThumbnail class.

What about VOD? How can I create a thumbnail image there?

Wowza Streaming Engine, by default, does not generate thumbnails of video on demand files @Arian Eghtessadi. These thumbnails can be generated by a third party software like FFMPEG.
