# How to change an Application's name?

We created a series of Applications on a WSE. Now, we want to rename those applications. How do we do it?

Go to the installation folder of WSE; change the names of the subfolders in /applications and /conf. Then edit /conf/[applicationname]/Application.xml and change the application name there too. It should work without restarting Wowza, though it’s recommended to do so.

I think that’s inconvenient way to change name, I hope Wowza could release a feature to change application name easier.

Just copy the application to a new name…The feature is already there
