# how do I format the  origin domain name when creating a cloudfront distribution?

I am trying to create a cloudfront distribution from a ec2 instance. the first input is for a origin domain name.My ec2 ami has a public ip of 55.41.26.75. would this be the correct way to format it:

[ec2-55.41.26.75.compute-1.amazonaws.com](http://ec2-55.41.26.75.compute-1.amazonaws.com)

Docs are not very helpful.
