# How do i change the installation path?

The customer’s request says that the installer should not be in the default directory path of wowza in linux and that wowza should be installed in the specified path.  
(ex:/app/streamingEngine/)  
When I looked for similar questions, I found a method using the /usr/local/WowzaStreamingEngine link path. However, it is said that related contents should not be left in the /usr/local path.  
I was wondering if there was another way to do this, so I’m posting this.

No problem and I understand your need for clarification. Unfortunately, I did check for you with tech support and there is not a way to change the installation of Wowza on Linux. You can create links to the installed location but that is about it. Sorry for the bad news.
