# how can i use wowza api to contorl a stream target?

i have a multicast going through wowza to stream to facebook . i want to be able to control it via the wowza api, is there a way to do this.

Hello @johhn test, yes you can control a stream target this way through an API, but you will need to enable the push-publish module first.

Here is a doc on how to do that and then how to control the stream target and obtain info on that stream all through the API.

How does one run these curl commands. ive used cmd but having issues with it not giving the correct answers and when given -u for user and password. this get error message for authentication. Apologies, just a student looking for a way to do my media work
