# How can I record the live stream and need to place it as VOD file?

Hi All,
I am new to Wowza media server. I am able to do the live streaming with GoCoder and able to play that with rtsp(in Android) play back URL. Here I have used the licensed Wowza media server.
Q1) How can I store or record the live streaming and I want to play that video when ever I want.
Q2) I want to store that video name with current date and my custom name. Is it possible ? If yes, can any one guide me to do this?

There are a few methods for recording the live stream:

[How to record live streams (Wowza Streaming Engine)](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-record-live-streams-wowza-streaming-engine%28Wowza-Streaming-Engine%29)
Also, the simplest way is to use a StreamType of “live-record” in your Application.xml file.
