I am working on implementing a solution to ad-insertion across all platforms including PC/MAC, iOS, Androids, Silverlight. Is there an equivalent of Cue Points on HLS?

Thanks for a prompt reply.

Hi

You might be able to find something in here,

[https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-convert-ontextdata-events-in-a-live-or-vod-stream-to-timed-events-id3-tags-in-an-apple-hls-stream](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-convert-ontextdata-events-in-a-live-or-vod-stream-to-timed-events-id3-tags-in-an-apple-hls-stream)

Timed data events are probably the closest thing you can find to cue points for what you’re trying to do.
