# Hostname null?

I’ve set properly the host address, the configuration is validated but I can’t connect. I get the following error:

```auto
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: hostname can't be null

```

Can you post how you’re configuring your broadcastConfig parameters? That looks like the value for hostAddress is not being set properly.
