# Have wowza make API call when a VOD stream is requested for playback

Hi,

I would like to have wowza authorize each VOD play with an API call with the requested stream and its query string parameters.

I know how to do this with a custom module.

However, I’m wondering if there is a way to do this without a custom module as this seems to me a pretty trivial request, perhaps some existing module that can be included in Application.xml with properties.
