I am transcoding a stream from MPEG-4 to h264 using the NVIDIA Encoder SDK and publishing the stream to wowza. I’m finding that the transcoded stream looks fine when played in VLC but when playing the stream from the wowza media server there is a terrible stutter/artifacts. I’ve experimented with a number of encoder settings such as bitrate, profile (I’ve tried main, high & baseline) and the video still has a terrible stutter.

When I transcode the same stream using another encoding library (Media SDK) with similar parameters, I find the stream from the wowza media server does not have any problems.

Any ideas on why the wowza media server can’t play my transcoded stream properly?
