# Generate thumbnail images of live streams using the Wowza Streaming Engine Java API

Generate Thumbnail images of Live Streams using the Wowza Streaming Engine Java API encountered a problem,When I pushed the RTSP live stream to select the program Instance, I customized the Instance name, but when I got the screenshot, I could not get the screenshot, so I could get the screenshot with Default Instance

Wowza Streaming Engine’s Transcoder can output thumbnails in JPG format. More information can be found in the articles below. Is your screenshot JPG?
