# Flashcoms Site Messenger + Wowza Streaming Engine

Hello,
Has anybody used Flashcoms Site Messenger with Wowza Streaming Engine 4.2.0?
We have not been able to make it work with the new Wowza version.

Hi victorp,
Can you tell us if you were able to make it work with a previous Wowza version, and if so, what version? If you can also tell us how Site Messenger is integrated with your Wowza server. Does Wowza provide the video chat component for Site Messenger?

It actually works fine with “Wowza Media Server 3 Perpetual Edition - Server”. The chat is a 3-rd party software (www.flashcoms.com), I don’t think Wowza provides any components for it. It’s basically an swf file that interacts with the server.
Below is what I see in Wowza logs when the server starts and the chat app tries to connect:
