# firefox hls stream doesn't work if i add smil parameter

Hello.

We are using both wowza player and jwplayer for playing hls stream. In firefox if we are using the stream address with the smil: parameter, it won’t work. If we remove the smil and only leave the stream’s name it will play. On other browsers works ok.

Example of stream name: [https://xxxx.streamlock.net/avra/smil:streamName.smil/playlist.m3u8?DVR](https://xxxx.streamlock.net/avra/smil:streamName.smil/playlist.m3u8?DVR) (\<- this does not work in firefox)

[https://xxxx.streamlock.net/avra/avra/playlist.m3u8?DVR](https://xxxx.streamlock.net/avra/avra/playlist.m3u8?DVR) (\<- this works in firefox)

Any ideea?
