# EXTINF numbers in HLS manifest chunklist sometimes sum to more than audio file duration

E.g., the chunklist in [this playlist](https://wowza.lib.berkeley.edu/music/mp3:C040790863_1.mp3/playlist.m3u8) sums to 47:53.443, while the actual [file](https://digitalassets.lib.berkeley.edu/music/ucb/audio/C040790863_1.mp3) (mp3, 66MB) is only 47:49.16.

Meanwhile, the chunklist in [this playlist](https://wowza.lib.berkeley.edu/Pacifica/mp3:PRA_NHPRC1_AZ1084_00_000_00.mp3/chunklist_w1331001807.m3u8) correctly sums to 54:03.168 (compare [file](https://digitalassets.lib.berkeley.edu/pra/ucb/audio/PRA_NHPRC1_AZ1084_00_000_00.mp3), also mp3, 66MB).

What’s causing the discrepancy?
