We have an origin and edge server. Today we live streamed a large show and notice several warrnigns in our log files from the edge server. I think this is causing the video to pause when viewing from that edge server. I wantched from the orig

1. HTTPStreamerAdapterCupertinoStreamer.service: Request timeout: 8000

2. LiveMediaStreamReceiver.doWatchdog: streamTimeout

Could this be from a bad incoming stream to the origin server?

Josh

This sounds like a connectivity issue, or a problem with the source.

But just to double check, have you set up the correct LiveStreamPacketizers on the origin and the edge. They are different. Take a look at this guide:

How to configure a live stream repeater

If you are doing multi-bitrate streaming, and there are other good reasons to use this alternative configuration in which packetizing occurs on the edge.

[How to lock multi-bitrate streams on live stream repeater edge](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-lock-multi-bitrate-streams-on-live-stream-repeater-edge)
