# Error configuring transcoder via api

trying to configure a template via api we get the following error

REST API: Server request (POST): Object already exists-409:

REST API: Server request (POST): Object already exists-409: http://[serverIP]:8087/v2/servers/_defaultServer_/vhosts/_defaultVHost_/applications/[app\_name]/transcoder/templates/c5342625-2388-41d1-a34f-6887b0584f9a/encodes

Apparently there are no template already present with that name (c5342625-2388-41d1-a34f-6887b0584f9a)

The same code works on a Wowza server on windows while in a linux based Wowza server we get the error.

Is there any known issue or explanation?

Do please post a screenshot of your API command (masking your server IP) and the error response you received so that we can take a look.
