# DRM with LL-HLS (cmaf)

Hello,

It is possible to use DRM with MPEG DASH (cmaf). However, it’s still not possible with HLS (cmaf).  
Do you have an idea of when it should be implemented ?

Also, the current encryption system for MPEG DASH uses CENC, which requires a DRM provider. The DRM encryptions for HLS TS uses AES-128 (and others) and does NOT need a DRM provider, which is more suitable for our usecases.  
I tried to implement AES-128 for HLS CMAF without success. Is it possible? Will it be possible later?
