Have a Datavideo NVS-25 and the only way the stream connects is if I have wowza server IP address. The wowza stream url link does not work. Anyone else run into this issue?

Hello,

There are some encoders out there that cannot resolve the DNS name or do not allow DNS name to be used in the configuration dashboard.

For your event, once your live stream is started in the Wowza Cloud interface, you can ping the entrypoint and obtain the ip address. The ip address most likely will not be the same each time you start and stop the instance since it uses “elastic ip addresses”.

Example:

Once your live stream is started in the Wowza Cloud

If your entrypoint url is rtmp://p.ep364343.i.akamaientrypoint.net/EntryPoint

ping [p.ep364343.i.akamaientrypoint.net](http://p.ep364343.i.akamaientrypoint.net) and your ip address will resolve and you can add it to your Datavideo encoder.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Mac
