# Combining push publishing with nDVR edge repeater?

We are configuring a DVR with edge repeaters setup, and the origins will be behind firewalls, making it cumbersome to maintain port forwarding rules for all of our origin servers. Is it possible to use push publishing in this type of setup so that the edges don’t need to have a route back to the origins?

Hello @Alex C,

That is the article I used to setup our current architecture. It does not cover setting up nDVR to push from origin to edge (as the default setup is to initiate pulls from edge to origin). Do you have any information pertaining to that?
