# can't stop WowzaMediaServer3 after install of WowzaStreamingEngine

Hello

I’ve installed WowzaStreamingEngine today. I wasn’t expected that it will lauch WowzaStreamingEngine during the installation. My WowzaMediaServer 3 Was still running.

So now WowzaStreamingEngine is not working and I can’t stop WowzaMediaServer 3

xx.xx.xx.xx:1935 shows

> Wowza Media Server 3 Perpetual Edition 3.6.2 build5334

when i want to stop it :

service WowzaMediaServer stop

> ERROR: Missing license file: (/usr/local/WowzaMediaServer/conf/Server.license)

when i try to shutdown with ./shutdown.sh i get this:

Have you tried a re-boot?

You might want to uninstall Wowza Streaming Engine, re-boot, make sure Wowza 3 is not running and reinstall Wowza Streaming Engine.
