# can I vod with media residing on another server？

Hi everyone ,

currently I have moved wowza to a new server, while remained the video files on the original server. I have a question: can I set a network mapping driver path of the video files (they are currently residing on another server) to the wowza as the content storage path? How is the syntax? I try to add the mapping path to the “use the following directory” , it seems that this doesn’t work., and shows the error info “Content Directory does not exist.”

Anyone helps? Very appreciated!
