Hi,

I’m using smil file to let wowza generate HLS manifest.

If there is an entry with a bitrate (video+audio) greater than 21474836, then wowza return a negative bitrate.

produce:
#EXT-X-STREAM-INF:BANDWIDTH=-21474835,RESOLUTION=3840x2160

chunklist\_w1373026176\_b21474837.m3u8
the html5 player crashes in that case.

I have a WowzaStreamingEngine v4.5.0 (build 18676) and Java 1.8.0\_77

Do you have any idea?

Thanks

Best,

Lionel

Hello Lionel,

You would need to update to a later version of Wowza Streaming Engine in order to resolve this issue.

This issue was resolved in update 4.5.0.01:

_\* Fixed overflow problem when large bitrates are used in smil files with system-bitrate parameter_

You can find information on updating to the latest build of Wowza Streaming Engine that will have this fix [here](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-update-your-wowza-streaming-engine-installation).

Regards,

Alex
