# banned ???

hello

I posted a question regarding RAM usage reported in the wowza web manager and apparently I got banned :mad: …

May be my post was considered as spam since I linked to two capture screens of the wowza web manager ???

Anyway, I don’t understand what is going on.

No reason was given; the following message appears when I login.

I have a huge memory used, most is cached.

I would like to know if this is expected behaviour with wowza 4.

I found several threads reporting similar issue but couldn’t determine

if the issue is solved, normal or not.

Hi,

Please note that **Total Memory** is referring to the memory of the entire server, the memory Wowza is using is the **Wowza Heap** which will likely be quite low.

You could try getting a process output and see what processes are running on the server.

What OS are you using on the server?

Under Linux if you access a file then it will store some/all of it in memory if it is available to do so, only when memory is needed it removes it.

For example

```auto
: total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 10225612 5122476 5103136 0 157464 4525664
-/+ buffers/cache: 439348 9786264
Swap: 2097148 66828 2030320

```

You can see here that 4525664 is used as cached space.

As this is being used Wowza will show this in the Total Memory as used.

Also, let us know about the status of your recent question. Reading what you have provided here, it seems like we will need more detail about your server setup and what is happening and when.
