# Auto record all incoming streams via stream files

Hello.

I can’t implement, how to explain WOWZA automatically start recording of all incoming streams via stream-files?

cause option “Record all incoming streams” not work for stream-files.

Hi,

When you select “Connect to this stream” in the Stream Files page you can select a Mediacaster type of “rtp-record”. This will then record the incoming stream using the same simple recording method as “record all incoming streams”. You can optionally add a stream file to startup streams and again you can specify “rtp-record” as the Mediacaster type. This will result in the stream being active on Wowza startup and any activity will be recorded.
