For anyone looking to expand their audience after a live broadcast has ended, [Wowza Streaming Cloud](https://www.wowza.com/products/streaming-cloud) now supports Live-to-VOD capabilities. This allows you to create [video-on-demand (VOD)](https://www.wowza.com/blog/vod-streaming-what-it-is-and-how-it-relates-to-ott) assets from live linear streams for instantaneous playback.

## Benefits of Live-to-VOD Services:- **Expand your audience.** Get more out of your content and reach additional viewers by offering recordings of your live events for playback later.

- **Put viewers in control.** Give viewers the power to play, pause, and rewind content at their convenience by accessing on-demand content or using the nDVR feature for immediate time-shifted playback.
- **Monetize on-demand content.** Create additional monetization opportunities and boost ROI by gating the VOD assets on your platform.

With Wowza’s Live-to-VOD feature, we combine automated [transcoding](https://www.wowza.com/blog/what-is-transcoding-and-why-its-critical-for-streaming) and seamless recording to deliver the best viewer experience possible. You’re able to stream VOD files to any player and device, over any [protocol](https://www.wowza.com/blog/streaming-protocols), from one set of source files. That way, your viewer will have access a high-quality stream, no matter when or where they’re watching it.
