# Advanced MediaCaster streams control

Greetings,

[WMSPanel team](https://wmspanel.com/) has recently launched streams control using Wowza’s MediaCaster ™.

The main abilities of current MediaCaster ™ control implementation are:

- Start, stop and reset streams - this is done via MediaCaster ™ API;

- Start and stop stream recording via LiveStreamRecord;

- Create .stream files;

- Apply operations to **multiple servers** ;

- Allow your chosen client to control their streams themselves;

- Make transactions log to know who’s done what.

In addition to streams control capabilities, WMSPanel now allows being notified when **RTMP stream is unpublished or published** via basic **push API**.

You do the following:

- You create a script that allows receiving HTTP POST requests and upload the script to your server.

- Set up script URL and API token on our admin panel side.

- Update the script with new token.

Today we announce full support for Wowza’s **LiveStreamRecord** add-on.

You can **start and stop recording** on **multiple servers** at a time. You can also allow your end-users to do the same thing if you want, it’s done via end-users data slices

All actions are logged in transactions log so you’ll know who did what and when.

This add-on became part of Wowza installation only after versions 3.1.2.\* so you still need to install it if you use not latest Wowza version. [Read our post](http://blog.wmspanel.com/2013/03/advanced-mediacaster-streams-control.html) to get details on installation and feature set usage.
