# Active directory user authentication

Hi at all,

I would like to integrate Wowza users with Active Directory. Basically, instead of the standard authentication system, how can I logon the system using the accounts from my Windows Domain?

Please, do you have any suggestion?

Hello Maurizio,

We don’t have built-in support for Active Directory. We do provide some example modules that can be used to integrate Wowza with a separate authentication system (e.g. using an SQL database).

Please see [this article](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-integrate-wowza-user-authentication-with-external-authentication-systems-modulertmpauthenticate) for an example of how that may be achieved.

We also provide modules for adding authentication via other methods such as query parameters. Our [Module Collection page](https://www.wowza.com/docs/utility-modules-for-wowza-streaming-engine-media-server-software) has links to those.

So, there is not an easy way or an example for LDAP authentication for the WebGUI? Honestly, the password saved into a file is very weak in terms of security.
