VOD MPEG-DASH Stream SMIL file with captions

hello.

for the past few days i was trying to set an addaptive MPEG-DASH stream using SMIL file.

i was able to set several video streams.

as for captions, generating the mpd file wowza seems to ignore my element in the smil file

MPEG-DASH streaming a mp4 file with seperate WEBVTT captions does work.

my smil file looks like this

is it possible to do such thing?

Hi,

Currently Wowza Closed Captions is not available for MPEG-DASH. It is on our product roadmap but I can’t say when this will be made available. I would suggest keeping an eye on our software updates page for the latest news.
